Active Budget started with a simple frustration: existing budgeting tools were either too complicated, too expensive, or too focused on features nobody asked for. We set out to build something different.
Our Mission
We believe managing money shouldn't require a finance degree. Active Budget is designed to give you a clear, honest picture of your finances — so you can make better decisions without the noise.
Our goal is to help everyday people build healthier financial habits through simple, intuitive tools. No jargon. No upsells. Just the information you need to feel confident about your money.
What We Stand For
- Simplicity first. Every feature earns its place. If it doesn't help you understand or manage your money better, it doesn't ship.
- Privacy by default. Your financial data is yours. We use bank-level encryption, never sell your data, and give you full control over what we access.
- Honest pricing. Our free tier is genuinely useful. Our paid plans are fairly priced. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch.
- Transparency. We're open about how we build, what we collect, and where we're headed. If something changes, you'll hear about it first.
Where We Are Now
Active Budget is currently in private beta with a growing group of early adopters who are helping us shape the product. We're building in public and shipping improvements every week.
